~ if your foliage wilts before you get home... put bouquet back in sleeve (to prop up foliage) recut ends and put in water. In a couple hours your foliage will perk up.
~ if your peonies are opening more slowly than you'd like... put lemon-lime soda (sugar + citric acid are ingredients in commercial flower food) or sugar in your vase water (plants crave sweets, too LOL)
